DO IT FOR HAITI…
On Monday the 18th (MLK-Holiday) the owner of the Helvetia Tavern (Address: 10275 NW Helvetia Rd, Hillsboro) Mike Lampros will be donating all profits to relief efforts in Haiti.
Doors open at 3:00 pm.
Please, stop by…have a beer have two, if you don’t drink have a soda, have their famous burgers, or have a veggie burger.
This is a great way to help out the people that are in Haiti because all profits… that is right…all profits will go towards Haiti.
See you there?

What a Congressman…

So, I posted the blog below on the 9th, and then, I ran into Congressman David Wu on the Max on 10th
Really, it’s the irony behind it all that kills me.
I guess...ask and you shall receive.
It was pretty disappointing that majority of the people didn’t even know who and what he represented.

FYI....Understand that we must have a choice!!!!

( I meant to post this sooner than later- this was issued to me. Please take the time to read and go from there!!!! )
Dear Lilian,In a matter of hours, the House of Representatives will vote on the issue of abortion in the new health system.Congress is set to vote on abortion in the new health system TODAY.We can’t let the anti-choice movement win, because women could lose access to abortion care. Contact your member of Congress right now to help us stop this attack. Call Rep. David Wu (202) 225-0855 .Women’s coverage for abortion services rests in the hands of Congress – and that vote is going down to the wire. Contact your member of Congress immediately to help us defeat this attack - call Rep. David Wu (202) 225-0855 . This amendment would have devastating consequences for women. Right now, more than 85 percent of private-insurance plans cover abortion services. That’s the status quo. The proposal we’re fighting, led by Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan and Republican Rep. Joe Pitts of Pennsylvania, would make it virtually impossible for private insurance companies that participate in the new system to offer abortion coverage to women. As a result, women who currently have a private plan that covers abortion care could lose that coverage. We can’t let women lose access to abortion care. Contact Rep. Wu (202) 225-0855 right now to help us stop this attack. Rep. Stupak’s proposal is dangerous and based on outright lies. Here are the facts: The health-care-reform bill maintains the system we have now. It would allow insurance companies to decide what services to cover, and it blocks federal money from paying for abortion. Yet, Rep. Stupak is jeopardizing the entire health-care reform effort by making it virtually impossible for health plans to offer abortion coverage in the new system. Now we need you. Ask your member of Congress to oppose Rep. Stupak’s anti-choice amendment. The vote will be extremely close. One vote could make the difference. Thank you for speaking up for women’s access to abortion today.

Positive Vs Negative

It is important that we contribute to something other than ourselves. Life continues to proceeds with trials and tribulations, with laughter and love, with scrutiny and pain, with confusion and disabilities, with geniuses and educators... etc. etc. This world is filled with so many people while some are in better standing than others; I feel that it is our responsibility to help better ourselves and each other.
None of us are perfect. We’ve all seen our share of some form of stagnant oppression. I challenge you to do something constructive each day from here on out. Start out with something simple then work your way up to something more taxing (but always keep in mind that you are contributing to something other than yourself). If you don’t know what I mean, I am asking that you simply do something positive.

Please... Thank You- Kindly

I continue to receive messages that my blog site isn’t set correctly. The kudos are undeliverable, and or people can’t subscribe to my blogs. I don’t mean this in a negative way… With that said, I am not looking for kudos, nor am I looking for subscribers. I just hope that upon stumbling, or being a supporter of this blog site- you just take the time and read and them move on. I have it disabled, but if you happen to make your way in, I’ll thank you kindly and remove you. So, let the writings impact you if you will, or not. I try to be constructive as far as my past goes, and obviously show that I am proactive about my beliefs…

Just read… write…think… act and react. Thanks Lil

I care so much that is my problem.
I don’t care for you, and I don’t care for your cause.
I care about me and nothing at all.
Most people think this way.
… I guess in the long run we’re all selfish…
Some people care more than others and some- not enough.

I've Come Undone...

I am not going to lie… I feel numb.
I am not sure if I’ll ever move past it… for I’ve fully come undone.
